FRINGE CABARET – Anya Anastasia – Rogue Romantic – 4K

Rogue Romantic is a delight of humour and song, verve and velvet. It warms as it rumbles you inside. Anya more than ever shines as what the Fringe was and should be. She is our Fringe Queen. 4K

FRINGE COMEDY – Andrew Silverwood – Self Absorbed Tw*t – Tuxedo Cat – 2.5K

his routine was enjoyable, suitably wired, his material diverse (if not overly imaginative) and for someone prone to get restless the hour went without feeling an uncontrollable urge to check my phone. 2.5K

FRINGE CIRCUS – Attic – Tandanya – 5K

Superior circus, delivering a shot in the arm to a genre that is otherwise risking a rapid death wallowing in its own self-indulgences – and all home grown. The best coin that can be spent on circus this Fringe! 5K

FRINGE THEATRE – Eleanor’s Story – Tandanya – 5K

This is masterful theatre and as good as any you will see. 5K

FRINGE CABARET – Blanc de Blanc – Garden – 4K

At 100 minutes, Blanc de Blanc is anything but plain and if you have the coin a great night’s entertainment is assured. Just go with an open mind and maybe leave the kids at home. 4K

FRINGE THEATRE – Adventure Before Dementia – GC – 4K

In a Fringe where fresh is the oddity, John Sabine proves the old can be new – a 2017 Fringe treat. 4K

FRINGE CABARET – Prohibition – Gluttony – 3.5K

Prohibition is worth the effort if you are looking for your annual fix of that style of show. 3.5K

FRINGE CABARET – Triskster – La Boheme – 4K

It’s all deliciously camp, catastrophic and calculating and sure to delight after a night out. 4K

FRINGE THEATRE – Signifying Nothing – 3.5K

Set in Perth, Western Australia, Greg Fleet has drafted a mash up of Shakespeare’s Macbeth with a tale about contemporary Australian politics. Nicola Bartlett as Lainey Macbeth (get it?) comfortably out shines Fleet in this two hander; her firey nature set off by her silver streaked hair presents equally self-destructive and calculating

FRINGE THEATRE – Scorch – HST – 4.5K

McAllister produces a vibrant and compelling account of a child’s developing and confusing years. On the circle stage of Holden Street’s Studio she works all corners of her space, sometimes frightened of her character’s self, sometimes frightening members of her audience with piercing stares. 4.5K
