Over the three financial years (2008 to 2010), the Zoo spent $48.4 million on property, plant and equipment. The projects involved include the panda enclosure (stated as costing $8m) and the new entrance ($20m). So, where has the other $18m gone?

RAW: Adelaide Oval Update – Costs Blow Out
Kryztoff understands from well placed sources that the quantity surveyors have reported to the Government that in their view the works will now cost between $700m and $800m and this doesn’t include the footbridge. So one can now confidently predict the costs of the announcement the Labor Party had to have are double the original estimates.

It’s funny how when there is a truly biting satire, that’s as accurate and sharp as it is funny, you rarely hear about it from newspapers and especially politicians. I am of course not talking about the ABC’s At Home With Julia but about the political satire Hollowmen that featured on the ABC in 2008.
