Django Unchained – 4.5K

As much as Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs have created the reputation and perhaps even the mythology of Quentin Tarantino, it may well be that his latest film, Django, is the one that will be regarded as his best. 4.5K

Les Miserables – The Film – 4K

Nothing can ever compare to witnessing a live performance in a theatre, but Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables really does come close. It is a truly outstanding venture and an example of first-class film making. 4K

The Master – 3.5K

While technical qualities of this Paul Thomas Anderson production are outstanding and the two male leads deliver what may be Oscar nomination worthy efforts, at the end the film fails to gel or grab its audience – the synergy between the men never gets past sharing an alcoholic cocktail. 3.5K

A highly entertaining comedy set against the backdrop of modern Hong Kong and Beijing, this film strikes a chord in all the right places, with an extremely able cast of supporting actors interweaving their own romantic disasters and successes. 4K
